Let me warn you right now. This Bregenzerwald wedding is so elegant and stylish, you might end up wanting to change you wedding plans and booking a trip to the Bregenzerwald in Austria.
Nina and Martin were set up by friends who invited them both to the cinema one evening, and the rest, as they say, is history.
Sitting on the westernmost point in Austria, at the border with Liechtenstein and Switzerland is the medieval city of Feldkirch, in the state of Vorarlberg.
Nina and Martin started the day with their civil ceremony, held at the regal Villa Claudia amongst their closest friends and family.
Once they’d both said yes and made the marriage official, it was time to head up in to the mountains to the stunning area known as the Bregenzerwald, to the village of Schwarzenberg.
Martin came to collect Nina from the hotel suite, and from the very first moment Martin caught sight of her, the energy in the whole room was electric.
The parish church of Schwarzenberg was the location for the beautiful church service, where Nina’s sister Lisa brought almost everyone to tears with her mesmerising performance of Bach/Gounod’s Ave Maria.
After the ceremony everyone retired to one of the beautiful gardens behind the Hotel Hirschen for drinks and canapes before heading inside for dinner.
The morning after….
