Every time I spoke to Karin about the wedding she was so laid back, that was until about two weeks before the date. Suddenly it felt like there was still so much to do. Karin told me she was worried about turning in to the bridezilla that she never wanted to be.
One week ago today, the weather wasn’t exactly how they would have wanted it to be. Low clouds hung in the valley and rain drizzled down relentlessly.
But Karin and Gernot weren’t at all phased by it. They embraced the weather and were determined not to let a few raindrops spoil their day.
They decided to see each other before the ceremony, in a quiet location away from the wedding venue, surrounded by just the groomsmen and bridesmaids.
Since Karin is from Sweden and Gernot from Tirol, they had a wonderfully international wedding, with guests from all over Europe and some from even further afield. Karin’s dad even gave his speech in 3 languages which was a great hit with the whole wedding party.
