Anna & Alex’s Story
Anna and Alex’s love story is filled with adventure and travel, so it made perfect sense for their wedding to be another adventure in a foreign land. Even though they grew up on opposite sides of the globe, the universe brought them together one day in the jungle in Southeast Asia, and as they say, the rest is history. And even though they have often had many miles between them and their families, they all came together to celebrate their marriage to each other at the magnificent Chateau de Brametourte in the south of France.
Joined by their closest family members (including two four-legged ones) from the UK and Australia, Anna & Alex became husband and wife in a beautifully intimate ceremony followed by celebrations and dinner in the grounds of the Chateau, with heartfelt readings from their parents and one of Anna’s nephews too.
Wanting to make the most of their time together, Anna, Alex and their families continued celebrations the day after the wedding with a family picnic by a stunning lake just outside the village of Saint-Lieux.
Chateau de Brametourte
Situated on a hilltop in the French countryside 1 hour from the city of Toulouse, Chateau de Brametourte is nesteled among sunflower fields, meadows and woodlands, making it the perfect location for an intimate destination wedding where nature and historical elegance are combined. Its ancient walls date back as far as the 11th century, and all its restorations have been carried out with so much care by its owners Paul and Alison. Each room in the chateau is filled with antiques and artifacts that pay homage to the chateau’s grand history as a home for Dukes and Barons.
