Innsbruck Engagement Session – Brittany & Alex

Brittany returned home one night after a long shift working as cabin crew, only to find Alex there waiting for her with a very important question that he needed to ask. Of course she said yes! With almost all of the details for their wedding planned, Brittany and Alex decided to take the opportunity and get one final holiday away together overseas before their 2018 wedding in their hometown of Portland in Oregon.

Since they were visiting Bavaria, Brittany and Alex decided to make a slight detour one morning and cross the border to visit Innsbruck in Austria. Even though it was absolutely pouring rain when they arrived, they were excited to have an explore around the old town of Innsbruck and enjoy it’s narrow streets and colourful houses.

Since no trip to Innsbruck is complete without a trip up the mountain, and since the rain was starting to ease off, we jumped on the funicular train up to the Hungerburg and from there took the cable car up to the Seegrube station on the Nordkette.

Even though the clouds were moving in and out really fast, we managed to see a few of the stunning limestone peaks of the Nordkette appearing from the mist, showing us how Innsbruck earned it’s title “capitol of the alps”.
