Lago Di Braies – A Microadventure In The Dolomites

This week I made a promise to myself. To take a day off from work once a week and use that time to actually get outside and explore with Menno. We used to do it all the time, but since starting my business, I’ve had less and less time.

This week’s micro adventure took us to somewhere we’ve been wanting to visit for the last couple of years. The Dolomites in Italy. It’s a large area, so we picked just one location for our little trip.

Perhaps one of the most famous lakes in the Dolomites, Lago di Braies (or the Pragser Wildsee in German) is nestled in the national park Fanes-Senes-Braies, approximately 2 hours drive from Innsbruck. We visited mid-week and were pleasantly surprised at how quiet it was.
