Malcesine Lake Garda is a popular destination wedding location for destination weddings in Italy, so last week we took a drive down there to have a look around and scope out some of the best locations.
Malcesine is a picturesque medieval town sitting on the eastern shore of Lake Garda. It is part of the province of Verona in the Veneto region, at the foot of Monte Baldo, in an area where the hillsides slope down to meet the shores of the lake.
It’s easy to loose yourself in old cobbled streets of the town, as you explore the little alleyways decorated with gelaterie, cafes and little boutiques. Follow the streets downhill and they lead you to the shores of the turquoise blue waters of Lake Garda. Follow them uphill and you’ll find the beautiful Malcesine Castle, which is licensed for civil wedding ceremonies.
While I was visiting Lake Garda, I had the pleasure of meeting Roberta Pompeo, a wonderful Italian wedding planner. An expert on weddings in both the Lake Garda region and Tuscany, Roberta told me about some of the most beautiful locations for legal ceremonies, symbolistic ceremonies and weddings receptions across Italy. If you’re interested in a Malcesine Lake Garda destination wedding, or anywhere in Italy, the wonderful Roberta of The Different Twins can help you plan your dream wedding in Italy.
