Cruelty Free Beauty Products

As you may know, I’m a vegetarian and a massive animal lover. Our two house rabbits really are my little fur babies and they mean the world to me. So when I see images of animals, especially rabbits, being used in cosmetic testing, it makes my heart weep.

My Favourite Cruelty-Free Beauty Products

One of my new years resolutions for 2016 was to make sure that all of my cosmetic, skin and haircare products were cruelty-free. After a bit of trial and error, I’ve finally found some products that I love. I’m still looking for a good face cream, so if anybody has any recommendations, please let me know! *UPDATE* I’ve discovered the Nutriganics range from The Body Shop and LOVE them!

Shampoo – LUSH “New” Shampoo Bar

Conditioner – LUSH “Jungle” Solid Conditioner

Soap/Hand Wash – Dr Bronner’s Pure-Castile Liquid Soap

Body Lotion – Soley Organics Lind Líkamskrem

Body Scrub – Rituals Sakura Scrub

Shower Gel – Rituals Zensation Foaming Shower Gel

Make-up Remover – The Body Shop Camomile Waterproof Make-Up Remover

Deodorant – The Body Shop Strawberry Deodorant

Hand Sanitizer – Dr Bronner’s Organic Hand Sanitizer

And if you are looking for cruelty-free cosmetics, my absolute favourites are Urban Decay and The Body Shop, but I’ve also recently discovered that Smashbox Cosmetics are also cruelty-free too.

Although testing cosmetic products on animals is illegal in the EU, some cosmetics companies may be conducting cruel tests in other parts of the world. Check out this list to find brands that are GUARANTEED to be 100% cruelty-free: or download the Bunny Free App so you can while you are out shopping.

The world needs more happy bunnies!
