Lake Obernberg – A Microadventure In Tirol

Today I’m taking you on another micro-adventure, this time to the beautiful Lake Obernberg (German name – Obernbergersee) right near the Italian border with Austria.

We usually come here at least once a year, and it always is fascinating to see how the environment changes. This year we visited in May, and were quite surprised to see low water levels and a lot of snow on the ground, despite the fact that in other areas of Tirol most of the snow had already melted. Perhaps next year we’ll come in the winter time and see what it’s like when everything completely is white.
