Thank You Kitzbühl & Dexter

Just over 6 years ago a bunch of ski instructors from Mayrhofen hopped in a car and drove over to Kitzbühel to watch the famous Hahnenkamm downhill race.

Despite the fact that I was the only one ready to leave on time, and that I’d called shotgun, we had to pull over half way to let one person out who was rather travel sick and I had to give him my front seat. That guy, the same one who had chased me around a bar a month earlier with a spider only to regret that decision when I collapsed having a panic attack, was Menno. To be honest, it wasn’t really love at first sight. Actually more like mild annoyance/massive spider panic.

But during the day at Kitzbühel we wandered about as a group, and he kinda started to grown on me.

Back at our cosy ski instructor abode we started hanging out and getting cosy watching episodes of Dexter. Yes, that ever so romantic TV series!

We’re not completely sure of the exact date that we became a “couple” but we like to think it was the time I let him borrow my laptop, only to find him emailing himself from my email address confessing my love for him!

So here we are, 6 years later according to my email history. It’s been bloody epic. Here’s to a lifetime of more epicness and many adventures.

Menno Ekkelboom I love the shit out of you!
